چکیده
Abstract Background Limited evidence exists regarding the impact of atrial fibrillation (AF) on outcomes after percutaneous mitral valve repair (PMVR). The aim present study was to compare 1-year clinical following PMVR in patients with and without AF. Methods 426 for severe MR were included COburg MItraclip (COMI) registry between 2016 2021. Patients divided into an AF group (group A, n=284) a non-AF B, n=142). Clinical profiles, procedure characteristics follow-up compared two groups. Results older (79.3±6.3 [AF] vs. 77.8±8 years [non-AF], p=0.03), had higher N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide levels (NT-pro BNP: 5675±5544.2 vs 8516±11184.5, p=0.004), more often coronary artery disease (62% 38%, p=0.03) lower stroke risk (CHA2DS2-VASc score: 4.6±1.2 4.9±1.3, p=0.01). There no significant differences groups regard gender, logistic Euroscore or prevalence chronic heart failure, hypertension, diabetes mellitus regurgitation. Acute procedural success (post-procedural 2. MR, 95.1% 94.4%; p=0.76) procedure-related major complications similar. MACCE (death, MI, stroke, bleeding), health-related quality life improvement. Conclusion In regurgitation who underwent PMVR, is common appears not have relevant negative outcome at 1 year sinus rhythm. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Influence of atrial fibrillation on outcome following mitral valve repair.
BACKGROUND To investigate the outcome of patients in atrial fibrillation (AF) following mitral valve repair, clinical and echocardiographic follow-up was undertaken in 400 consecutive patients who underwent mitral valvuloplasty from 1987 to 1999. METHODS AND RESULTS The main indications for surgery were degenerative (81.4%), endocarditis (7.1%), rheumatic (6.6%), ischemic (4.6%), and traumati...
متن کاملPercutaneous mitral valve repair.
Nonsurgical treatment of clinically important mitral regurgitation (MR) has evolved tremendously over the past decade. Recent studies of percutaneous mitral valve repair procedures have shown that less invasive procedures are safe and can be effective in selected patients. MitraClip has been studied most extensively. The MitraClip is attached to the middle scallop of the mitral leaflets by a tr...

AIM To investigate one-year outcomes after percutaneous mitral valve repair with MitraClip® in patients with severe mitral regurgitation (MR). METHODS Our study investigated consecutive patients with symptomatic severe MR who underwent MitraClip® implantation at the University Hospital Bergmannsheil from 2012 to 2014. The primary study end-point was all-cause mortality. Secondary end-points wer...
متن کاملPre-operative atrial fibrillation as the key determinant of outcome of mitral valve repair for degenerative mitral regurgitation.
AIMS To examine the impact of pre-operative atrial fibrillation (AF) on the outcome of mitral valve repair (MVR) for degenerative mitral regurgitation (MR). METHODS AND RESULTS Among 392 patients with moderate to severe MR who underwent MVR between 1991 and 2002, 283 patients with isolated degenerative MR were followed for 4.7+/-3.3 years. Of 27 deaths, nine were due to cardioembolic events a...
متن کاملImpact of preoperative atrial fibrillation on mortality and cardiovascular outcomes of mechanical mitral valve replacement for rheumatic mitral valve disease.
OBJECTIVES The prognostic significance of preoperative atrial fibrillation on mitral valve replacement remains unclear. The aim of this study was to explore the effects of the presence of preoperative atrial fibrillation on mortality and cardiovascular outcomes of mitral valve replacement for rheumatic valve disease. METHODS A retrospective analysis was performed on a total of 793 patients wh...
